Back to the whole Town & Country 2 topic or even a track on the next studio album. Surfin in a Hurricane by Jimmy Buffett . Everytime i hear this song of think of you & hear you & Beatnecks doing it W.W style. And in my head it ROCKS :)

I don't know it. The whole quasi (not really ) "Surfy" thing that relates to the WW music is a really, small part of our "catalog" but, we get branded with the "Surf" tag which always sort of surprises me. I mean granted, the first album is pretty Rockabilly. The few instrumentals there are are "Surf-Y" but, that's about it. Anyway, have not heard it. WW

It's more of a song that Los Straitjackets would do than Webb.

Yes the instrumental would be perfect for Los Straightjackets. It was more the vocal performance that I thought Webb would be great for this song but I guess a surfing themed song is out of place.

Me again. I'm sorry , I don't know why I can't let this go yet. I feel still that this song is not only a perfect W.W song but would become a classic like Hoodoo Witch, Automobiles,Elephant man etc. And it's a song really about living dangerously & not caring about the consequences more than about surfing At least check it out Y'all https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xIGp6N19Vrw . Ok I'm done now , maybe :)

Good Song Cobber! Dick Dale is my Surfy man of choice. The albums he did in the 90's are very good, a bit 'beefier' sounding than the classic (and wonderful) 60's albums. I saw him live on his last British Tour and he blew the roof off! http://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=dick+dale+youtube&qpvt=dick+dale+youtube&view=detail&mid=A99DEEC59A83E08665FBA99DEEC59A83E08665FB&FORM=VRDGAR
