This is Noteworthy, Thacker Mountain Radio, and "Blood Harmony"

Hey, ya'll! I'm back from Wisconsin (which was wonderful!), and off to the Magnolia state for two solo shows, the first of which is in beautiful Water Valley. Webb wanders from Wisconsin to Water Valley? See below for what the organizers had to say about it:

"WW returns to the stage in the This is Noteworthy listening room to celebrate the release of his new album, Hillbilly Speedball. DJ Swarthy Menace (Scott Barretta) will be spinning rare 45s before and after Webb's performance!

The Low-down:
When: Friday, July 25, 2025. Doors at 6:30pm, show at 7pm.
Where: This is Noteworthy, in the heart of downtown Water Valley.
(16 South Main Street in Water Valley, Mississippi).
Why: Because life's too short to not get out and have a little fun sometimes.
How much: $10 at the door (all funds go directly to the performer).
Anything else? BYOB if you wanna."

You can find more information at This Is Noteworthy's Facebook event page for this performance.

THEN, on Saturday, I'm off to Philadelphia, MS, and the Neshoba County Fair, for an installment of the Thacker Mountain Radio Hour at the Neshoba County Fair! And here's what they have to say about it:

"Join us at 'Mississippi's Giant House Party!' It's happening at Founder's Square Pavilion, July 26, 2025, at 8 pm.

Guests will include author/illustrator Marshall Ramsey, roots rocker Webb Wilder, and fife and drum duo the Rising Stars, for The Thacker Mountain Radio Hour, the award-winning, Oxford, MS-based, music and literature program."

In other news: Are you an Everly Brothers fan? Who ain't!? I had the great honor to be asked to provide the reading of Barry Mazor's fantastic new biography of their story, Blood Harmony. You can hear a bit, or find out more about it in this YouTube video.

Okay, in other/other news, Congress has clawed back already-approved funding that provides lifeblood to public radio and other media, so we here at WMOT are asking for your much needed support. You can help keep the music playing by going to wmot.org and clicking the donate button. Ol' Webb is on there five days a week. Six really, but who's countin'?

Be well. Be Wilder? Well, with judgment of course!
See ya down the road...
